This 2-Day instructor level course will give students the knowledge and skills to deploy ballistic shields with great mobility, flexibility, and offensive accuracy without risk of malfunctions to the weapon system. As instructors, students will learn to adjust and deploy the shield in any environment, defeating threats without hesitation and with conviction. Student instructors will learn how to manipulate weapon systems and fix malfunctions with both hands and fight in an offensive mode with both primary and secondary weapon systems incorporating standing, kneeling, and prone shooting platforms as well as extensive movement drills.
There will be an added focus on the employment options of the Eagle's Perch, commonly referred to as the "EP-40". A mobile officer safety barricade system offering unmatched shield mobility and deployment options.
Previous to course presentation, administrative qualifications will be completed through your state regulatory agencies (POST, COLES, etc.) for training credit, cost reimbursement, etc.. as is determined by your individual state standard.
Although Armourer's Choice will provide shields to each student for this training experience, attendees are encouraged to bring agency issued shields for comparative purposes and value.

Meet the Instructor
Christopher “Gio” Giolitti, served the law enforcement community for over 30 years with roughly 23 years as a SWAT Operator, Team Leader, and Tactical Commander at two busy Detroit metropolitan police agencies in both full and part-time capacities. Gio was fortunate enough to be recommended to receive one of the department’s greatest honors, Letter of Valor as well as two Commendations for Bravery, and nearly two dozen Meritorious Service Citations throughout his career.
As President of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association, he has given over 20 years to the organization as an executive board member and instructor for the association’s Mobile Training Unit. He has presented firearms and tactics courses throughout the country for various state associations as well as serving past cadres, including Triple Canopy and Essential Tactical Advantage. Gio is also a judge for two of the largest SWAT competitions in the world, SWAT Round-UP International and the Connecticut SWAT Challenge. He has been blessed with the opportunity to work and train with some of the most respected law enforcement and military professionals in the world.
